HISTORY & LORE
Founded in 1853 in Le Locle, Switzerland, Tissot has a rich heritage of Swiss watchmaking innovation. The PR 50 series ("Particularly Robust") became one of Tissot's most successful flagships of the late 20th century, combining slim Swiss elegance with everyday durability.
This specific model features a commemorative inscription dedicated to 40 years of service at Huta Katowice, one of Poland's largest historic steel production facilities, adding a unique industrial provenance to this classic Swiss timepiece.
RECOMMENDATIONS
To ensure your vintage Swiss quartz watch operates accurately for years to come, please follow these simple rules:
- Protect the watch from severe mechanical impacts or drops.
- Avoid exposing vintage watches to direct water, excessive humidity, or hot steam.
- To clean the case and crystal, use a clean, fiber-free soft cloth.
- When setting the date, avoid changing it manually between 20:00 and 03:00, as the gear mechanism for automatic date shift is engaged during these hours.
