The watch features a beautiful, compact case heavily AU gold-plated (proudly carrying the official Soviet "AU" hallmark stamp on the case profile) and comes paired with its gorgeous original matching gold-plated bracelet. The clean, classic dial is fully signed in Cyrillic, featuring the "Chaika" name, "17 Jewels" indicator, and the historic "Made in USSR" (Сделано в СССР) mark at the bottom. Inside beats the true star of the watch: the ultra-compact, in-house Chaika Caliber 1301 manual-wind mechanical movement with 17 ruby jewels. It represents a masterclass in micro-engineering from the Uglich Watch Factory. The watch is fully operational, recently serviced, and ready to wear or gift!

DEFECTS: Good vintage condition. Shows honest, minor cosmetic traces of time and light hairline scratches/slight wear on the gold-plated finish of the case and original bracelet from careful previous use. The acrylic crystal is in clear, solid condition and offers excellent visibility.

• Vintage mechanical watches should not be beaten or dropped - shocks can easily damage the delicate miniature balance staff.
• Vintage watches are generally NOT waterproof. Protect your timekeeper and its bracelet from direct contact with water, heavy rain, swimming, or high humidity.
• If your watch becomes wet it should be dried off quickly. Carefully open all covers and use a hair drier to blow dry the movement, dial, covers, crown. This will reduce the amount of rust.
• Winding any mechanical watch too tightly may break the internal mainspring. Stop turning the crown as soon as you feel the natural physical resistance tightening up.
• When adjusting the hands of your watch, move them in a clockwise direction only to safeguard the safety of the delicate gear train.
• Every 2-3 years it is recommended to service, clean, and oil vintage watches to maintain their mechanical performance over decades.
• Keep your watch away from strong modern magnetic fields (large speakers, laptops, magnets) since magnetic exposure can cause the hairspring to temporarily stick.
• Most Cases and Covers are fine components and will not handle abuse well. The watch should not be shaken, beaten, or stressed.
• Vintage mechanical watches naturally experience a daily deviation error of up to a few minutes. An accuracy of +/- 3 to 5 minutes a day is perfectly normal and considered excellent for a classic miniature timepiece.
