This is a legendary 60-ChP (60-ЧП) mechanical instrumental clock, a genuine piece of Soviet military engineering. Originally designed for use in aircraft, tanks, or specialized command vehicles, these clocks were built to withstand extreme conditions, vibrations, and temperature changes. The clock features a robust mechanical movement and a clear, high-contrast black dial with a sub-dial for seconds (sekundomer). The clock is designed to display the current time in hours, minutes and seconds and to measure short periods of time (up to one hour) in minutes and seconds. It is used: in geophysical equipment (type 60-ChP) and at marine facilities (type 61-ChP).

It consist of a regular clock mechanism for counting the current time and a stopwatch mechanism for measuring and counting short periods of time. The mechanism of a conventional watch runs continuously, and the stopwatch mechanism can be turned on and off.

The current time is counted on the large scale of the dial. The stopwatch is read on the lower dial scale. When the mechanism is running, the hour, minute and second hands move continuously. Clock ensures the operation of the mechanism for three days. The watch should be wound once every two days.

The work of the stopwatch mechanism is determined by three positions of the "Start" crown:
I-start of the mechanism by the first pressing on the crown;
II-stop the mechanism by pressing again;
III-return of arrows to zero position by the third press.
Free travel, anchor; the balance is monometallic. The clock motor is spring-loaded, double-drum, parallel action.
