The Omega, engraved into the balance cock (Fig.3), should symbolize as last letter of the Greek alphabet the summit of technology.
The name Omega of this calibre was given to the company not before 1903.
The redesign, introduced 1911, was renamed to Omega 42.7 in 1919.
